Cor-events has been managing all types of events on the Zoom platforms. We have done webinars, board meetings, breakouts, large-scale conventions, and even virtual galas! We have some recommended Zoom tips and tricks to ensure your next virtual event is a success.
With the rise of virtual events, the online video platform of Zoom has become the most popular and one of the most successful digital event platforms. Zoom can run your meeting with up to 1,000 attendees on video, and allows webinars to scale all the way up to 10,000 people! Joining a webinar or large meeting can now be as easy as a click from your desktop.
We have found attendees have a hard time focusing on one single item for longer than 10 minutes. In order to keep your audience focused, we recommend a visual transition. This can be as simple as a transition slide, new speaker, video or creative content.
The Zoom platform allows for chatting, polling, Q&A’s, and so much more! You can also test and monitor your engagement with these attention indicators, and with the many follow-ups reporting Zoom capabilities.
For smaller training or groupings, just like in an in-person meeting, Zoom allows you to create up to 50 separate sessions within a Zoom meeting. You can have this set up automatically or manually, or allow the participant to select as they best see fit. These are great for HR training, team building activities, discussion groups, and the list goes on and on.
Running a successful virtual event is a team effort! Preparing your speakers and having a production schedule is the key to make sure everything runs smoothly. Depending on the size of your event or webinar, you may want to have an event team, technical team, and production team all work together for successful execution.
After the event is over, don’t forget to gather attendee satisfaction, and make sure your next event is even better by utilizing some of Zoom’s great features. Zoom has both meeting and webinar reports to provide data on registration and polling. Additionally, you can review your recorded content and make edits to use the content again for both social media engagement and provide the material to attendees who were unable to make it. If you haven’t already done so you can read more about Zoom and its endless functionalities here.
